Frequently asked questions
How many sessions will I need?
Most patients require between 2 and 6 sessions depending on the type and depth of the verruca. Some resolve quicker with Swift® or needling.
Is verruca treatment painful?
Treatment is generally well-tolerated. We may numb the area first. Cryotherapy or microwave may feel warm or cold briefly but are not usually painful.
Can I walk after treatment?
Yes. Most people can resume normal activity immediately. However, you may be advised to avoid pressure on the area for 24–48 hours depending on the method used.
Will the verruca come back?
Once fully treated, recurrence is unlikely but possible. We’ll advise on hygiene and aftercare to reduce reinfection risk.
