GAIT ANALYSIS
Video Gait Analysis forms an important part of the biomechanical evaluation. It allows the podiatrists to look at the angles and rotation occurring in the lower limb as well as posture generally.
Quintic software can be used to slow down the action or pause on a certain frame. It is also used to measure angles and for more complex work such as calculating angular velocities.
Perhaps the most important feature of the system to the practitioner and patient is the ability to do comparative studies, i.e. With or without orthoses, effect of different running shoes or change in posture with time.
